Alan Siebert, principal trumpet with The American Sinfonietta, is Associate Professor of Trumpet at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati and frequent soloist.

Previously he was a member of the San Diego Symphony and Principal Trumpet with both the San Diego Opera and the San Diego Chamber Orchestra.  The co-author of Teaching Brass: A Resource Manual, Professor Siebert has also taught on the faculties of the University of Bridgeport, University of Wisconsin-Superior, Arizona State University and Michigan State University.  He has also performed and recorded with Summit Brass, the Carillon Brass, Kentuckiana, and the San Diego Brass Consort.  He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and records for Pro Arte, Discovery, Summit, Integra New World and Coronet labels.
