Ms.
Valborg Gross, violist with the American Sinfonietta since its inception,
is also violist with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and a past president
of its board of directors. Val received a Bachelor of Arts degree,
magna cum laude, from Vassar College and Master of Music degree from Manhattan
School of Music in New York where she was a student of Lillian Fuchs.
Prior to joining the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Ms. Gross was violist with several orchestras throughout North and South America including the Florida, Syracuse and New Jersey Symphonies in the US and the Orquesta Sinfonica de Maracaibo in Venezuela. |
