Richard
Blum, principal viola of The American Sinfonietta since its inception,
has been the principal violist of the Madison Symphony Orchestra for the
past 25 years and a member of the acclaimed Pro Arte Quartet for 34 years.
He was also Professor of Viola at the University of Wisconsin at Madison
for the same time period. Professor Blum has also served as Principal
Violist with the San Antonio Symphony and the Dallas Symphony Orchestras.
